Mrs. Elizabeth Rego
Shodan (1st dan / degree black belt) – Jukido Jujitsu
Assistant; Jukido Academy of Martial Arts - Palm Coast, FL

Mrs. Elizabeth RegoMrs. Elizabeth Rego has been training in the art of Jukido Jujitsu since October 31, 2001. Since that time she has been a regular student and occasional assistant instructor under the tutelage of Sensei Rego. Mrs. Rego also helps in dojo administration as it relates to student registration, organization, and the promotion of Jukido.

As an assistant Mrs. Rego has assisted Sensei Rego in youth Jukido classes, including a major charity seminar conducted by the FJJA as well as the Shihan Arel Youth Florida Jukido Seminar in December of 2001. Mrs. Rego is also a key member of FJJA Jukido demonstrations. In these demonstrations Mrs. Rego is a key demonstrator as it relates to showing audiences that one does not to be physically strong to dismantle and neutralize any potential threat.

Elizabeth & George Rego Mrs. Elizabeth Rego has made Kokondo history in Florida more than once. Mrs. Rego made FJJA history when she as the first ever FJJA student and kyu (below black belt) to attend the IKA International Seminar in 2003. Since then has continued to be a regular presence at the International Seminar as well as the Florida Jukido Seminars with Shihan Paul Arel.

Mrs. Rego also was one of four FJJA students to make FJJA and Kokondo history in late 2004 and early 2005. Mrs. Rego was, along with three others, among the first students to be tested and promoted to the rank of black belt in Jukido Jujitsu in the state of Florida. To get to that point she underwent five extensive and intense rank tests under Sensei Rego and a sixth and final test with Shihan Arel. She was promoted in January of 2005.

In the FJJA Mrs. Rego is a vital member, well known for many things. Most students would immediately remember how challenging it can be to throw Mrs. Rego due to her short stature and extremely low center of gravity. However, she is known for much more June 2006 at Master R. Robert's House of Kokondo dojo in Newington, Connecticut– including her rapid fire hip throws, stamina, and ability to use an attacker’s momentum against them. Perhaps the qualities that Mrs. Rego is best known for is her kind heart, always helping hand, and joyful attitude. She’s known at the FJJA as the “dojo mom.”

Mrs. Rego continues to be both a student and assistant the FJJA. She attends private black belt training and is working towards nidan (2nd degree black belt) and eventual IKA Instructors Certification in Jukido.

Outside of Kokondo, Mrs. Rego is a student who is working towards a degree in nursing – very fitting to her personality of helpfulness and caring.
